King of Prussia is a town in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The name was inspired by a tavern that dated back to 1769 and, as you would guess, was named after the King of Prussia, King Frederick II. Today, the town is known for having the largest shopping center in the entire USA as measured by leasable space. Many visitors flock to the town to shop at the iconic mall, but there’s plenty of other things to do in the area that will make for a memorable trip!

While any season is great for visiting the mall, the shoulder seasons are best for decent weather and fewer crowds. In the King of Prussia, there are two times: April to July, and August to October.
How to prepare for your trip to King of Prussia
King of Prussia has all of the amenities necessary to have a safe and enjoyable vacation. That being said, you’ll want to do a little bit of pre-planning to ensure your travel plans go smoothly, especially if you are coming from overseas. While USA residents are able to jump in the car or hop on a domestic flight, international visitors need to consider a few extra things. This includes time zones, currency exchange, and entry requirements.
Entry requirements should be taken seriously as nothing will ruin your trip quicker than being denied boarding! To enter the USA, you will either need to complete an ESTA application USA or obtain a visa. An ESTA is an electronic pre-check that will assess your eligibility for entry into the USA. It is only available to people who are residents of countries that are a part of the visa waiver program. All other travelers will have to apply for a standard travel visa.
To get your ESTA travel authorization, you will need to fill out an application online. It is very straightforward and simply requires you to enter some details about yourself and your trip, as well as answer a few questions. Then you submit the information and wait for approval. We recommend completing the application a few weeks prior to your trip so that you can deal with any issues if they arise. You will be notified of the outcome when your ESTA is approved and can then proceed to the airport as normal. It is important to have evidence of your approved ESTA so that you can show it to the airport staff.
Take note that an approved ESTA does not exempt you from going through border control. You will need to pass through customs and border security, however, an ESTA helps to speed up this process.
